Siyouni, a 16-year-old colt by the legendary Pivotal and Sichilla, stands impressively at 16.1 1/2 hands. He distinguished himself as the leading French-based sire in 2018, marking the second consecutive year of this achievement. Siyouni was purchased by Merriebelle Irish Farm, Ltd. for 355,000 euros in a sale that ended on December 10, 2015.
His pedigree is outstanding, being a product of Pivotal and Sichilla, showcasing top-tier genetic lines. As a testament to his breeding prowess, Siyouni's yearlings sold in 2018 at an average of 154,881 euros, reaching top prices of up to 450,000 guineas.
As a sire, Siyouni has produced 26 Stakes winners and more than 40 Stakes performers. His notable progeny include the five-time Group 1 winner Laurens, triple Group 1 winner Ervedya, Group 1 seconds City Light and Le Brivido, and juvenile Group 2 winner Aylmerton in Australia, among others.
His 2019 stud fee was set at an impressive 100,000 euros, reflecting his status as a premier stallion. The share in Siyouni entitles the holder to one nomination every year, with added benefits managed by the Aga Khan Studs, which also handle keep, management, and marketing costs.
